The Monster and I

Miss Fenny (The Monster) and I have had a lot of bonding time due to Clarke being in Springfield, MO for work the past two days! Fenny makes it hard for me to sleep when Clarke is not home because she barks constantly. I guess it is her way of protecting me!

We finally got our cable back but only downstairs. So......I am continuing to read pregnancy books. I go back to the doctor April 8th, then I go back a week later to find out if the little critter is a boy or a girl!! I am so anxious! Clarke and I have had several people ask us if we are going to find out the sex of our baby. Duh! I can't wait any longer than we already have to! I respect the people that wait to find out until the baby is born, but I just don't know how they do it! People have told us it is such a "surprise" to find out the sex when the baby is born. Umm...........I believe the whole situation is a surprise from beginning to end! We are pretty set on a boy name but still debating on a little girl name. I will release that information as soon as we find out what we are having!

More to come............

First Post

Wednesday was my sister's birthday. She came in town from Memphis, where she lives now, to celebrate. We had a family dinner including Clarke's parents at Doe's on Wednesday night. We skipped Thursday night but had another dinner with our friends on Friday at Cantina Laredo. The restaurant was ok, but I am sure it would have been better if I could have had a margarita! After the dinner party, Clarke and I headed to see Pat Green in the Rivermarket!

I have also been reading a lot of different baby and pregnancy books this weekend. There is so much information! I am afraid I won't remember half of what I am reading now when our little critter arrives.

Unfortunately our cable has been out since the thunderstorm on Thursday night. That has forced Clarke and me to watch our current obsession, Friday Night Lights, on my computer. We can't get enough of Coach Taylor, Saracen and Tim Riggins! We started watching from the very first episode in season one and are almost finished with the second season. I can't wait for the third season that is currently on TV to end so we can get it in our netflix queue!

I can't believe my first post is so short! I have to get back to my Sunday chores!
