A Lot Has Happened.....

Well, we had a baby! Everett Ellis Tucker was born on September 17, 2009. He is already four months old! I can't believe it! Ellis is the most precious gift, and we are so thankful that he is healthy. I have to say he is perfect, too! He only cries when he is hungry or tired. We are still working on getting him to sleep in his own bed, though! Ha Ha! I absolutely love being a stay at home mom. It is definitely challenging sometimes but is so rewarding!

As for Clarke, he recently left the Quattlebaum law firm. He is venturing out on his own with his best friend from law school, Sach Oliver. We are so excited about his new career move! He will be working from home for the first six months, which makes me and Ellis happy!

Grandpoo, aka Scooter, started a new job, too! He is now the head tiger at Little Rock Central High! My whole family is super excited about this move! He is now in a position, I believe, to win a state championship! Hell, he might win a few before he is done! Clarke is a Central alum and is probably the most excited!

I will post some pictures of Ellis man soon!

Ooops

I feel so bad neglecting my blog since I was so excited when I first started doing it!

We have had a lot going on! I mean, a lot!!!!!

Clarke, of course, is busy busy busy at work. He is trying to get ahead before Baby Ellis arrives in just a few weeks!

Ellis's nursery is complete! Clarke set up all the furniture while my mom and I decorated, dressed the beds and hung clothes in the closet. My dad loves to tell everyone about how much stuff (clothes, toys, etc) Ellis has. He says, "That boy has more clothes than any of us combined, and he is not even here yet!" I have to thank my parents for doing the majority of the "stuff" buying for Ellis. Every time I think of something I want to buy him it seems to magically show up at my house because my mom has already thought to get it! My parents are so overwhelmed with happiness for Ellis! I love it! Oh, and I can't forget my sister. She has been pretty amazing too. She talks about Ellis all the time and how she is going to help babysit. We just need her to move back from Memphis now!

Other than preparing for Baby Ellis I have been just trying to relax and enjoy my free time. My family including my aunt, uncle and cousin went to Gulf Shores for a week. We had a great time! It had been awhile since the whole gang went, so it was nice to catch up with everyone.

One of my best friends, Rachel Sisk, got married this past weekend. Yep, I was the 7 1/2 month pregnant bridesmaid! She looked beautiful and seemed so happy. It is too bad for us that she and her husband live in North Carolina! I miss her! I do wish them the very best though!

Ok, I have to go cook dinner now. I don't think I have mentioned this, but I am now a permanent stay at home mommy! Now, if Ellis will just get here!!

Luci and Deere's Party

Last night was Luci and Deere's "stock the bar" party. We had it at Sticky Fingers, and it was a huge success! If I had fun sober I know the people drinking definitely had a good time! Here are a couple of pictures from the party! Love ya Luci and Deere!

Whoa

Whoa! It has been forever since I have posted anything! Clarke and I have been extremely busy!

Clarke has been working super hard! Monday is his first jury trial! Whooooooohooooooo! I am so proud of him!

I, on the other hand, have been working like crazy on a new project I am trying to accomplish before Baby Ellis arrives. I can't reveal what I am doing yet, but I will post something in the next week to let everyone know!

We are also getting Ellis's nursery ready which includes contractors building things and painting! Craziness in the house!

As far as the pregnancy, I am 21 weeks! A little over half way there!

Ok, I will post something soon about my new project!

Everett Ellis

We are having a boy! We are both so excited! I did not care either way if we had a boy or a girl. Well, maybe I'm lying a little bit. I have always wanted to have a boy! I would have been just as excited about having a girl though. For some reason some of my friends think I would be a good "boy mom." Whatever that means.........haha. Clarke had no preference at all which is not surprising because he is the sweetest person on this planet. He has been the best support a wife could ask for throughout all of this. You know what I am talking about if you know Clarke. Ellis and I are so lucky!

Speaking of Ellis..........Our baby boy will go by Ellis after his wonderful, amazing grandfather! Ellis is so lucky to not only be named after his father but both of his grandfathers too. Most of you know who my Dad is, but he really is one of the most amazing people I know. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful and inspiring Dad. Oh, and did I mention my Dad is excited to have a grandson? Excited is an understatement! I know he can't wait to give Ellis a football and show him some tricks!

We found out yesterday at babyviews because we could not wait until my next doctors appointment on May 6! We also were going to wait and tell our family on Saturday night, but we couldn't wait to do that either! We immediately went to my parent's house after leaving babyviews to tell them. We then went to Clarke's parents to tell them. Everyone is thrilled including Miss Fenny! She is glad she will still be the only girl child!

I need to post more often, but as you know we have a lot going on around here!

Until next time......

Queen Duke

Clarke is back in town! Yay! We spent last night with Meg, Deere and Luci. We had dinner at Buffalo Grill then came back to our house for more drinks. Fun times as usual with that crew.

Luci and Deere's "save the date" card went out to all the wedding guest this week. They look great! We talked about that some at dinner, or maybe we made fun of Luci about it. Luci was wanting to know if we asked everyone we had talked to in the last 24 hours if they received their card, and if they liked it! Hahaha Their wedding date is 9-19-09 in Tyler, Texas. I am so proud to be Luci's Matron of Honor and I will really hope I will be there because Baby Tucker's due date is 9-26-09! I have a gut feeling I will be there!

Ok, now to the real reason for this post. My friend, Queen Amy Michael Duke, is arriving in Little Rock today. I knew she was coming, but I did not know Megan was picking her up from the airport! Duh! I am going with Megan to pick her up! I have not seen Amy since I found out I was pregnant. That is way too long! You have to know Amy, but she is probably one of the most hilarious people I know. Anytime I am in a bad mood I start thinking of "Amy stories" to cheer me up! I can't wait to hear what she has to say about my belly even though it is not visible yet! I love, Ames! Oh, and Amy has given my a little hell about blogging. She says it stresses her out.....whatever that means. Even though it is a stress for her she is was my first follower! Ha

fried chicken, idol and in-laws

Clarke is still out of town, so Fenny and I went to his parent's house for fried chicken and American Idol.

I was glad to see Megan go tonight. I think she is extremely pretty but so annoying! I don't understand why Matt was in the bottom three again this week! I know his last two performances have not been his best, but he is still one of the top contenders!

Different subject............Why is Edward not going to be in the next Twilight movie? He has to be joking, right? I don't think I will be able to watch it without him.

Oh, and Michelle and Barack got some work done today in London. I loved the pictures of The Obamas and Queen Elizabeth! So cool!

It is past the Little Critter and Fenny's bedtime........................
